We are celebrating Vrishabha Sankranti 2023 in India because on this day the transition of Sun from Mesha rashi to Vrishabha rashi takes place at once time and as per solar calendar vrishabha sankranti is the starting of vrishabha season and in some palces like Orissa its called as a Brusha Sankranti while some part of southern its called Vrishabha Sankraman, Vaigasi Masam in Tamil calendar, Jyeshto mash in the Bengali calendar and Edavam masam in Malayalam calendar.

As per rituals, peopel are doing worship for Lord shiva’s vahan Nandi (Cow) OR Gifting cows is considered to be auspicious on Vrishabha Sankranti. Actually what people are doing on this day they are visiting nearest place of Lord Vishnu temple and pray them to wisdom to choose between good and the evil. Pitra Tarpan is specially conduced on Vrishabha Sankranti. This day of Vrishabha Sankranti is very auspicious for Dan-Punya activities.
