The famous Sabarimala temple located in Kerala is going to open for devotees from 12 February 2023 to still date 30 December 2023, Devotees come in large numbers to have darshan of Lord Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa.

In order to reduce the hassle of people reaching Sabarimala temple and to manage the crowd, the Kerala government has started an Sabarimala booking online portal www.sabarimalaonline.org where devotees can book tickets for darshan. Devotees can book tickets from Nilakkal to Pamba and darshan at Shani dham online. Booking for returning back to Nilakkal is also included in this.

Through the web portal, devotees can now plan to travel to Sabarimala on a single ticket. This special kind of portal should also tell the visitors of Ayyappa that which time is free for darshan and how many people are reaching the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. According to the timing of darshan, devotees can plan to go from Nilakkal to Pamba and return from there. Each ticket will be valid for 48 hours. This means that every devotee will have to reach Sabarimala temple within 48 hours and return to Nilakkal.

This temple is situated on the hills 175 km away from Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. This temple is surrounded by hills on all sides. To reach this temple, one has to cross 18 holy steps, which have different meanings as well. The first five steps are linked to the five senses of man. The next 8 stairs are associated with human emotions. The next three steps are considered to be human qualities and the last two steps are considered symbols of knowledge and ignorance.
